When installing a local Atom, one must supply a username. Is it important what username is supplied? Or more specifically, is this username and password used by the Atom every time to connects with the Boomi Atomsphere Platform?
To add to that, the AtomSphere credentials are used during install only to identify for which account the atom should be installed (technically some users have access to multiple accounts). Once the association is established, the Atom obtains the account's tenant-specific keystore and that is what is used for all future Atom-level communication/authentication with the platform.
Hi Ryan Price
Yes, you have to use username and password which you use to connect Boomi Platform for installing a local atom
Installing alocal Atom on Windows
As of 2017.03.08 release, tokens can be generated for authentication when installing Atoms. I have not personally tested this but I thought it would be worth updating the post.
