I am running into one design issue and I want to ask can I trigger the Boomi process from sales force through Atom queue shape? If so how can I achieve it.
You cannot directly connect to an Atom queue listener from the outside world. Atom queues are only accessible internally.
If you want to push data from SalesForce to Boomi, the recommended design would be to implement a web service on Boomi. The web service then could sends the message to an Atom queue for further processing.
Thank Sjaak, for confirming, now I got the idea. But would be good if in future releases we may able to connect the Atom queues to the outside world.
Actually, that is not an integration best practice. Message queueing is usually not used to connect systems directly but to decouple integration processes on the integration platform itself. Or to connect multiple integration platforms via JMS. Secondly, integrating SalesForce and some integration platform is way easier if you use web services. From a technical point of view, something like a JMS-JMS integration like you proposed would be much more complex and more costly ;-)
Sjaak is correct: no direct connections to Atom Queues from external clients.
