Conditional lookup question

Edit: I think actually I can use a data lookup function in the Map shape... however is it possible to set it up so if will only do a conditional lookup?  i.e.: Only do a db lookup if column A = "xxxxx"?

I'm sure this is a very simple question but I'm not sure the best way to do this.

I have a process flow where if a field is of a certain value I need to get some fields from a database to overwrite what's in the message.  Kind of like:

If (customerField == "Certain Value")

   populateSomeFields();

else

   // continue as you were

Essentially I want to branch out momentarily on one condition to do a lookup, then have the process continue in a single route afterwards.  The Decision shape seems to branch them off into different processing directions... but I don't see how to bring it back together.  Is the Decision shape the appropriate one to use in this situation?  If so how do you consolidate the branches afterward into a single processing?  If not what is the appropriate shape to use here?
