Custom connector: Dynamic properties based on objectTypeId

Is there a way to define properties that a user can specify during process development, as well as during execution (e.g. set properties).

We are creating a custom connector for a set of REST APIs that have different querystring parameters. What we want to be able to to is provide the user with a list of the parameters that are relevant based on the resource (objectTypeId) that they selected.

At present the only solution to allow design time and execution time access to the parameters is through the use of the dynamicProperty element in the connector descriptor xml. However this provides a global list of parameters making it difficult for the user to know which are valid or required for a particulat request.

We looked at using Process Properties as a possible solution, but there seems to be no way to access them from a custom connector.
