Magento: branded or http client connector?

HI all,

I have a few Magento projects coming up. Both 2.0 and 2.1. I haven't integrated Magento before. As always, have to decide if we're going to use the branded connector or the http client connector. For your info: we recently finished a Coupa project. The branded connector lacks some functionality so we had to use the http client connector as well to implement this use case. If I would have known that, it would have made more sense to use the http client connector instead.

Regarding Magento, and if I interpreted it well, the Boomi documentation suggest there are bugs in the branded connector for version 2.0.x. In addition to that, does the branded connector support all operations? What does the branded connector do extra compared an http client connector.

Magento connector

The Magento connector makes it easy to work with the Magento eCommerce website software by simplifying the interaction and adding convenience. You can set up the Magento connector to move data into and out of any Magento platform (Community Edition, Enterprise Edition, Magento Enterprise Cloud Edition) using version 2.1.1 from any on-premise application and legacy system including other On Demand or SaaS-based applications. An API bug prevents this connector from working with all object types in version 2.0.X.
