Document in-order processing

Hi,

Does anyone know if there is a way to process documents (exactly once) in order? I've have created a proces which contains an Atom queue listener. Documents which are read from the queue are sent to an HTTP receiver. If a document can not be delivered we would like the queue to be pauzed or stopped. However, after 6 retries, a document is moved to the dead letter queue (DLQ). In this way, it is not guaranteed that documents are delivered in the right order. (Documents which resides in the DLQ can be caught up by documents which can be processed at once and do not have to be moved to the DLQ). For documents which, for example, contain HR-data this is an undesirable situation.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Kind regards,

Ivo
