I'm carrying our a POC and wanted to check if anyone knows of any posts that walk through or give advice on connecting Boomi to DocuSign.
If you do please let me know, thanks
I have integrated Salesforce with DocuSign using another integration tool, and based on this experience I think Boomi would do this well.
You can call login_information() then sendEnvelope() based on a template defined in DocuSign (with user defined 'tags' to place data onto the document).
Then the configuration of DocuSign Connect can call back to a Boomi listener when for example a recipient signs or declines an envelope, extract a PDF of the signed document to store it elsewhere. If you don't have DocuSign Connect or Boomi web services licensed, you'll need to 'poll' DocuSign on a batch schedule, and this is only permitted every 15 minutes.
DocuSign can also be embedded but we didn't try this.
There are a few gotchas (as of two years ago)..
Best of luck
POST-SCRIPT: I just noticed an "Idea" which suggests that Atomsphere' HTTP client connector has some limitations around binary attachments. Note sure if this will impact the ability to get PDFs from DocuSign or not.
support multipart MIME Content-Type in the HTTP client connector
Has anyone successfully configured a web service soap client? i am struggling to get it working.
So far i have been able to pull data from the wsdl but i am unable to authenticate.
i have used the same user name and password for each
username is intergrationkey+api username
password - i have tried various combinations of api password, base 64 version of api password and api integration secret key
hi stephen, have you tried to get it working with a utility like Postman or SoapUI first? if that doesn't work speak to the people at DocuSign. if that does then we know it's a Boomi configuration issue.
In order to setup a working connection to DocuSign through Boomi you need to do the following:
-Set up a HTTP connector
-Add in a working URL i.e. "https://demo.docusign.net/restapi/v2/accounts"
-Set Auth type to OAuth2.0
-Grant type = Authorisation Code
- Add the client ID, this is obtained through the key's section of DocuSign's admin area
- Add the Secret, again this is found in the Admin area of DocuSign
- Add Auth Token URL which is; https://account-d.docusign.com/oauth/auth
- Lastly, add the Access Token URL which is: https://account-d.docusign.com/oauth/token
Note that the above is a method to setting up a valid connection in the Demo environment, use the appropriate URL's for the live environment if this is your intended application.
In order to get the right URL's, I'd suggest using Postman, this tool is very useful for getting the correct URL paths to various sections of DocuSign's API.
If you need further information, feel free to ask.
This link is useful for building URL's if you want to avoid using Postman:
