In a map shape if you load from the document cache why can you only use the profile elements to select the item from the cache? Why can you not use dynamic process properties like you can from a load from cache shape?
Yes, Good Observation. Presently, no option for that.
I think we need to have that option to select a DPP or DPP if you configure index as Document Property.
May be you can create an Idea for this?
I don't see how that would improve the map shape. If you loaded from a cache with a dynamic process property key, it would give all records in the document cache which is created with that key. If more records have been created with that DPP it will fail in mapping. Or am I missing something?
When loading a document from the document cache within a map shape you only have access to the profile elements in the map shape to set your document properties for retrieving the data from the document cache. The profile that I am using within the map shape does not have the necessary elements to be able to retrieve the data from the document cache. If I could use DPP or DDP then I could retrieve my data from the document cache in the map shape. Which is how the Load from Cache shape works.
Okay, now I get it.
To do that, you must create a map function something like this:
I knew that I could do that, but I am using profile elements from the cached data for existing map functions. If I load the document from the cache within a map function, I can only use those values to map to the right side, I can't use those as input into existing map functions in the map.
It would be much easier if it could be done from the left side of the map so I can just draw the connectors.
