Password Cache issue

Currently, I am working on an issue where an Interface is failing with an expired password, after changing the password in Boomi environment extension the following error is still throwing:


Error invoking soap operation; Caused by: The server sent HTTP status code 401: Unauthorized



Even tried to changed the username field in the environment extension and still failing.


Per troubleshooting, we are able to get it resolved by checking and unchecking the "use default" checkbox in the environment extension to force the refresh and clear the password cache.


-  Why is it the password cache doesn't automatically refresh after changing to a new password? In this scenario, we have to switch back to default and apply the new password to reflect the changes.

Can you provide further information concerning this kind of behavior?
